Keith will continue in his role as Chief Executive Officer of Gateshead Thunder Rugby League Club but will additionally join the Falcons to drive interactions with the rugby fan base across the region and beyond.

Keith will work alongside Duncan Edward who will take on the role of commercial director with a focus on further developing Falcons relationships with the regional business community with both new and existing corporate clients.

Chief executive Paul Varley said: “Keith brings with him an impressive track record of achievement at Thunder, and we are delighted that he has decided to cross codes and join the Falcons. This is a further step in securing the right team to deliver on our vision for the future and we are looking forward to Keith joining the team.”

The Falcons currently sit at tenth in the Aviva Premiership following an encouraging start to the season. The club’s next home game is against Gloucester Rugby this Sunday (29 September), kicking off at 3pm.
