FANS FLOCKING TO THE FALCONS FOR 2014/2015
Newcastle Falcons are delighted to announce that season ticket sales for the forthcoming 2014-15 Aviva Premiership Rugby campaign have surpassed last year’s final total already with over a month of the season still to go. In doing so they have hit a five year high with the total just short of 2,200 as of the first week in August.
The new season ticket packages feature a freeze on 2013-14 price levels, free season tickets for under 11s (up to under 15s for registered rugby players), massively enhanced access to England International tickets and a range of other benefits. Those season ticket holders that committed back in April got the opportunity to access Rugby World Cup tickets as part of the 2015 Priority Access Programme. Falcons members responded in large numbers to this with well over 3,000 tickets being bought for the 2015 tournament.
Speaking about the strong season ticket sales marketing director Keith Christie commented:
“We are very pleased with the response so far and to have recorded our highest sales since 2009-10 is very encouraging. We do however believe that are will be more season ticket sales to come. We usually get another surge just prior to the season and we will be undertaking another marketing programme featuring a strong telesales campaign later this month and in early September. In particular we will be looking to attract back lapsed season ticket holders as well as launching our new Business Season Tickets.
“Furthermore we will be launching another big push with rugby clubs and schools to attract junior players as part of our free season ticket programme. Our Community Foundation has strong contacts across dozens of clubs in the region and we know there will be more junior players who will be joining us.
“The next target is to get to 2,500 season ticket holders by kick off on the 6th September and then look at getting close to the 3,000 mark with half season tickets later in the year. With the new artificial pitch, new coaching team set up and ten new players there is a quiet confidence about the forthcoming twelve months and it would seem that the supporters are feeling the same way too and committing for the new season”
Season tickets for the 2014/2015 season remain on sale and grant access to 11 Aviva Premiership, 3 European Rugby Challenge Cup group stage games and 2 LV= Pool matches. In addition, season ticket holders are admitted free to the club’s home pre-season friendly against Rotherham Titans on Saturday August 23rd.
Adult prices start from only £200 for standing season tickets and £300 for adult seated season tickets with adults able to claim up to two free Under-11 season tickets with every full priced season ticket purchased.
