Fans raise £10,000 for charity at The Big One
Beneficiaries of the money include My Name’5 Doddie and the Falcons Community Foundation, with more than 27,000 fans turning out to witness the Falcons’ 22-17 victory over Sale Sharks at the home of Newcastle United.
Funds were raised through sales of the special black and white striped shirt worn by the team on the day, a bucket collection, Foundation Flutter Lottery tickets and the generous support of Barclays, who matched Pound for Pound what was made through lottery sales.
Newcastle Falcons and both of the respective charities would like to thank you all for your incredible generosity on what was a memorable day for the club.
