FAQS: 2018-19 season ticket membership

Tuesday 30 January 2018 Written by: Adam

**Why should I become a season ticket member?**

A season ticket membership guarantees your place at Kingston Park for Newcastle Falcons’ home games. With the first sell-out in almost a decade (v Leicester Tigers – October 2017) and seats selling out on a number of further occasions, it guarantees that you won’t miss any game.

**Which matches does a season ticket membership cover?**

It includes 17 matches – 11 Aviva Premiership games, three European group games, two Anglo-Welsh Cup ties and a pre-season friendly. If the Falcons progress in the Premiership, Europe or the Anglo-Welsh Cup and stage home quarter or semi-finals then season ticket holders get priority booking and discounts over other non-member ticket purchasers.

**How can I book my season ticket membership?**

This can be done on-line at [**https://www.eticketing.co.uk/newcastle-falcons**][1], by ringing the ticket office on 0871 226 6060 or by calling in at the ground 09.00-17.00 on Monday to Friday and 10.00-16.00 on Saturdays.

**Will current season ticket members be contacted?**

Season ticket renewal packs will be with all current members by the first week in February.

**How are the percentage savings worked out?**

The discounts shown on each type of season are against the full match-day prices for the 17 games indicated above. Games are classified across three different price levels – category A*, category A and category B, and the season ticket price is a combination of the different categories.

**If the Falcons qualify for the European Rugby Champions Cup will my season ticket membership cover this?**

Yes, it will cover all three group games regardless of the competition and the season ticket membership prices will not change. All prices have been based on three Challenge Cup games, and as the Champions Cup home games will be a higher category, the potential saving will be even greater if the club qualifies for Champions Cup rugby.

**What are the benefits of the new three-year memberships?**

The three-year memberships allow you to fix what you pay for the next three years and receive a further 10% discount. This membership does require full payment at the time of booking.

We will be introducing a further benefit of entry to the West Stand corporate areas post-game, where members have the opportunity to meet the players. Please note whilst this post-game opportunity will be available at all games it may be limited on certain busy matches dependant on uptake to the three-year membership. If limits have to be introduced we will rotate entry to ensure all members receive an equal number of opportunities.

**If the North Stand is developed in the next three years and I purchase a three-year membership, will the price change?**

Whilst match-day prices over the next three years will be subject to changes, any members who purchase the three-year option will have secured their place till 2021 at the stated prices. For those in the North Stand this will mean a standing ticket and use of any new concourse facilities once they are completed.

**Will the Falcons be moving a home game to the USA again?**

No. Whilst the Philadelphia match in 2017 was positive for a number of reasons the club has decided not to take up the option to be the home team for any game that takes place in the USA in the 2018-19 season.

**Will the club be repeating The Big One at St James’ Park in 2019?**

Yes. Subject to a suitable date being agreed and the 2018 event being a success for both the club and Newcastle United FC, then The Big One will be staged again. Season ticket members will once again get priority booking as well as discounted tickets for friends and family.

**What happens if I can’t make games?**

The ticket exchange programme will once again be running next season. If you know you can’t make a particular match and ring the ticket office ahead of the game date, then you will receive an additional ticket to a similar category game. Tickets are always subject to availability but it is our belief that if you pay for 17 tickets then you should get 17 tickets, even if you can’t make the occasional game.

**Will season ticket members get any access to priority purchase for tickets to the 2019 European Club Rugby finals at St James’ Park?**

The club is in negotiation with the tournament organisers EPCR to try and secure this for 2018-19 members. Similar benefits were made available to members for the 2015 Rugby World Cup and it is our intention to try and secure this for the Newcastle 2019 event.

**What are the other benefits of a season ticket membership?**

As well as discounts on match-day ticket prices and priority booking on other events, season ticket members receive other exclusive benefits. Seasonal parking passes are available exclusively to season ticket members as well as the Tight Five discount tickets. Access to the England international ticket ballot, a pre-season event plus discounts in the club shop are also part of the package.

**What discounts do members get in the club shop?**

All season ticket members will receive 10% discount in the club shop from 15 August 2018, through to 30 June 2019. Please note on occasion certain already-discounted items may be excluded from this offer, but they will be clearly indicated.

**Are the free under-11s season tickets still available?**

Yes. Any current Year 5 primary age or younger (Year 6 or younger on 1 September 2018) can qualify for a free junior season ticket as long as it is purchased with a full adult season ticket membership. Proof of age will be required for all juniors. Please note that the number of free under-11 junior season tickets has been reduced from two per adult to one per adult for the 2018-19 season. This is due to increased take up over the past two seasons and it ensures all likely demand can be accommodated.

**What happens after the Early Bird date of 26 February?**

The prices on all season ticket memberships (including the new three-year option) rise after this date. Whilst still offering a discount on match-day prices, the greatest savings can only be made by purchasing on or before the 26 February 2018.

Any seats that are not renewed by season ticket members by Monday 26 February will also go on general sale. Whilst existing members can purchase after this date it does mean their current seat cannot be guaranteed, and they would pay a slightly higher price.

**Are Early Bird prices only available only to existing season ticket members?**

No. Anyone who purchases a season ticket by 26 February can benefit from early bird price savings, whether a new or existing member.

**How can I pay by the monthly instalments option, and can I qualify for Early Bird prices if I do this?**

Yes, early bird prices are available as long as you indicate to the ticket office that you wish to take the monthly instalments option by 26 February. This option is offered by our finance partners Zebra Finance and is subject to an additional administration fee. For full details call 0871 226 6060.

**Who qualifies as a concession for season ticket membership?**

Concessions are those supporters who aged 65 or over on 1 September 2018, or are in full-time education. Proof of concession status will be required at the time of purchase, however, those members who have previously provided proof of being aged over 65 will not be required to do this.

**When are season ticket memberships sent out?**

Once you’ve renewed you will receive your membership card plus details of all other benefits by early August, ahead of the pre-season friendly.

**If I’m unsure of anything else relating to season ticket membership, how do I find out more?**

Ring the ticket office on 0871 226 6060 and they will be happy to answer your query or email **fans@newcastle-falcons.co.uk** .
