Finn Baker signs new contract with Falcons
Lock-forward Finn Baker will continue his progress at Newcastle Falcons following the news he has signed a new deal with the club.
The 20-year-old will remain at Kingston Park for at least the next two seasons, with the 6 foot 6 forward having so far made two first-team appearances.
Originally from Harrogate, Baker attended Sedbergh School and is currently studying at Durham University, from where he earned a place in the BUCS Team of the Season during the 2023/24 season.
Director of rugby Steve Diamond said: “Finn continues to show up well every day in training, and has been putting in some hard yards in the gym to take his physicality onto the next level.
“We want to keep the best local players here with the club, and Finn has a great opportunity here to keep pushing forward.”
Baker said: “I’m really excited to extend my contract with Newcastle, and I’m looking forward to working hard over the next few years for what should be an exciting future for the club.”
