Five Foundation pillars: Grassroots sports
The foundation runs over 20 programmes for all ages and abilities across both rugby union and league, with the aim to encourage and inspire the next generation of players to give rugby a try.
Starting with Little Falcons for children aged two to four years and the popular Premiership Rugby Academy coaching camps, other schemes include our First Class Supply Schools Connections programme which also works to develop strong partnerships with schools to increase participation and the development of coaches.
Project Rugby focuses on engaging participants from BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) LSEG (Low Socio Economic Group) and mixed ability backgrounds via a comprehensive variety of activities, while Sky Try aims to increase the number of participants to rugby league by working in both primary and secondary schools across the North East.

*Foundation champion, Max Proud.*
*“I am Blyth’s club ambassador. The club has benefited from and enjoyed many visits from Falcons players over the years. It gives the youngsters something to aim for. Through my involvement with the Falcons Community Foundation and Blyth Rugby Club, in June 2012 I was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Award for voluntary service to rugby in the community, and in 2014 I represented Falcons Community Foundation and was awarded the Highly Commended Premiership Rugby Community Award at the House of Commons.”*
