Newcastle Falcons are inviting serving members of the armed forces to join the club for their armistice commemorations at Friday night’s game against Bath, with a special discount available on production of a valid military ID card.

With Friday’s Premiership Rugby Cup taking place ahead of the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, the Falcons will mark the centenary with the traditional Last Post and moment’s silence ahead of kick-off as well as having an installation of ‘Tommy’ silhouettes as part of the ‘There but Not There’ programme.

And for current serving forces personnel wishing to attend the game, they can do so from just £10 per person.

Tickets under the offer are available in West Stand category C as well as the North and South Stand terraces, and can be either bought on match day or by calling the ticket office on 0871 2266060.

Military IDs must be shown at the time of purchase (or in the case of advance purchases, on collection) with the discount available only on the ticket of the serving forces member.

Friday’s discounted tickets and commemorations form part of the club’s Falcons Forces programme, which sees the club’s registered charity work alongside Forward Assist, Help 4 Heroes, Royal British Legion, Sporting Force and SSAFA, providing opportunities for veterans with support on their journeys back to health and employment.
