Fox and Peacock join Alan Shearer’s Legends side
The 1.30pm kick-off sees a host of Newcastle United old boys taking on a Manchester Select side almost 20 years to the day since the Magpies’ famous 5-0 win over Manchester United.
Centre-back Peacock was among Newcastle’s goal-scorers that day and will form part of a side managed by ex-Toon front men Shearer and Les Ferdinand, who are forming the management team.
Fox, the former England B cap who was United’s record signing when he arrived from Norwich City in 1994, has also been enrolled as Shearer begins to put together his squad.
Keith Gillespie, who played for both Newcastle and Manchester United, is currently forming the visitors’ squad for a game which has already seen strong early ticket sales – more than 1,000 places having been booked on the first day alone.
Tickets for the match are priced £10 adults and £5 juniors, with bookings taken via 0871 226 6060 or [**clicking here**][1].
Hospitality packages are also available, details of which can be found by [**clicking here**][2], calling 0191 214 2892 or emailing **corporatesales@newcastle-falcons.co.uk**
Proceeds from the match will go to the Alan Shearer Foundation, which was set up to directly support the Alan Shearer Centre in Newcastle, a highly specialist disability, respite, residential and social provision for people with complex disabilities and acute sensory impairments. The foundation needs to raise at least £250,000 every year to continue to provide free sensory and specialist leisure activities and offer free and subsidised respite breaks for profoundly disabled children and adults.
