Gallagher’s charity cycle challenge 2022: The Road to Twickenham
Newcastle Rugby Foundation had a fantastic morning supporting Trustee, Rob Vickers, and Community Development Officer, Michael Searle, as they embarked on ‘Road to Twickenham’ charity cycle challenge, raising funds for Wooden Spoon charity and the foundation.
Former Newcastle Falcons hooker and now Newcastle Rugby Foundation Trustee, Rob Vickers said: “As honorary President of Wooden Spoon charity in Durham and a trustee for Falcons Community, I am delighted to be able to help fundraise for such fantastic causes. Both charities utilise rugby to such a great benefit, in some of our most under privileged communities here in the North East, and beyond. I am excited to take part in a really tough challenge and hope the money raised will help ease some of the pain. Hats off to Gallagher for supporting these charities. If any is able to, I would really appreciate any donations.”
Wooden Spoon is a children’s charity of rugby, funding life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support young people and children with disabilities or facing disadvantages. To read more, or make a donation, please head to Rob Vickers’ Just Giving page **[HERE][1]**
