This October Newcastle Falcons, in association with Ramside Events, will be running Newcastle’s Rugby World Cup Fanzone.

Situated at Science Central and open between 2nd and 11th October, the Newcastle Fanzone will include three distinct areas, promising something for everyone and allowing visitors the opportunity to embrace the unique atmosphere of the Rugby World Cup in Newcastle.

– Marquee Entertainment
A 4,000 capacity marquee will provide a weather proof area for fans to congregate and watch a selection of live games on the big screens. Meanwhile a plethora of bespoke events such as the amazing Oyster Festival will also take place in a fun packed programme of events in this space.

– Outdoor Arena
For those who prefer to enjoy the glorious October North East weather an outdoor park with a 60 square metre screen will provide another opportunity to eat, drink and support your team. With food options from gourmet burger to stone baked pizza and a megasol to take cover under, you can’t fail to enjoy!

– Stadium in the city
Newcastle is a city with sport at the heart- so what better way to enjoy the game than to build a mini pitch in the city? Half the size of a full pitch, this state of the art 3G pitch offers players, fans and spectators the opportunity to give it a go. Whether its touch rugby, tag games or pitch up and play, there’s something for everyone.

A range of events will be running at the Fanzone throughout its opening period, a full schedule of which can be found [here][1]

A number of those events are now available to book and purchase including:

– Northumberland and Durham Rugby World Cup Dinner
Held on 8th October and costing £50 per person this must-book mixed event will provide you the chance to enjoy gourmet dining and drinks alongside a number of rugby heroes, including Falcons players, Rob Andrew and World Cup winning guest speaker Jason Leonard.
The evening is compered by musician and comedian Brendan Healy who will ensure that all rugby fans, local and national, will have a great night.
Held to raise funds for Rugby World Cup Legacy projects, tickets to this dinner will include a four course meal, half bottle of wine and live entertainment. To book your place contact 0191 286 4399 or email claire.sharpe@northumberlandrfu.co.uk.

With live entertainment from Bavarian Stompers Oompah band, fancy dress encouraged and steins available to purchase on the evening, the Oktoberfest Bierkeller night is sure to be one to enjoy.
