Graham in England training squad
The 25-year-old joined Newcastle from Jersey in the summer after previous spells with Gala RFC and Carlisle RFC, and has scored four tries in his 10 senior appearances, eight of which were starts.
The Stirling-born forward is the son of former Scotland prop George Graham, who won the Premiership title and the Tetley’s Bitter Cup as a Newcastle player.
Newcastle Falcons director of rugby Dean Richards said: “I’m pleased for Gary in receiving this call-up.
“He has gone well for us in a back-row which collectively has performed to a very high level, and hopefully we can see other members of that unit being called up in the near future.
“We have seen teams in worse positions than ourselves in the Premiership receiving significantly more call-ups, and the hope is that we can receive greater recognition for the efforts of our English-qualified players in future.”
England head coach Eddie Jones said: Eddie Jones said: “This camp in Brighton is important for us to set the tone as a squad ahead of the Six Nations.
“We will need to improve if we are to hunt down our opponents and beat them. This tournament will be exciting and challenging, as we know we will play against some very strong teams.
“Brighton will provide a great base to begin our preparations with players coming away with a clear plan for our opening match of the campaign against Italy.”
