Greenwood and Johnson on international duty
The 19-year-old Tynesider (pictured) was part of the GB squad playing in the Los Angeles leg of the HSBC World Sevens Series.
Britain’s pool campaign saw them beating Argentina 7-5 and Spain 24-17, going on to lose 24-12 to eventual winners New Zealand in the Cup quarter-final.
Greenwood scored his maiden try for GB in Sunday’s 12-5 Plate semi-final win over Ireland before losing 24-19 to Samoa in their last outing of the weekend as the Sevens circuit now moves on to the Canadian city of Vancouver.
Meanwhile, Newcastle Falcons fly-half Louie Johnson was on the bench for England Under-20s on Friday as they kept alive their Grand Slam hopes with a 37-21 victory over Wales Under-20s in Colwyn Bay.
Their next assignment is on Friday March 10 when they host France Under-20s in Bath, kicking off at 8pm. That game will be shown live on the BBC iPlayer.
