Guests enjoy official club trip to Montpellier
Following a two-hour direct charter flight from Newcastle the group landed in what the Daily Telegraph described as ‘the most seductive and underrated city in France.’
Whilst the team were visiting GGL Stadium to run through moves on the Friday afternoon, visitors spent time in the many restaurants and bars before exploring the city.
Points of interest included the Old Town with its tiny high-sided medieval streets, the Cathedral and the central Place de la Comedie.
Match-day arrived the following afternoon with the Heineken Champions Cup game against Montpellier, where supporters were met by the home club’s drum band.
Post-match the travelling party enjoyed the stadium’s hospitality before departing for the airport and another direct charter flight home, landing back in Newcastle on Saturday night.
A great trip, a disappointing result but many memories.
