Kingston Park Stadium will play host to action from Durham/Northumberland division two this weekend as Hartlepool RFC take on North Shields on Saturday afternoon (KO 3pm)

It is part of a full day of action taking place at the Falcons’ home for the Mayfield Park club, as they claim their Ultimate Rugby prize for their efforts as a Club Connections member.

Beginning with the Under-16s County Bowl Final at 12 noon, which will see Hartlepool take on Sunderland, three youth rugby matches will then take place from 13:20 with the Under-12s section facing West Hartlepool, while the Under-10s and minis both play Houghton.

Having already won promotion to Durham and Northumberland Division One for the 2016/17 season, having last played at that level in 2010, the game will give Hartlepool’s players and fans the chance to enjoy a big day out and complete their season in style.

Hartlepool earned the opportunity to use Kingston Park Stadium as their home ground for the day after selling close to 500 tickets for Falcons matches over the course of the season as a club connections member, forging strong links between themselves and the Aviva Premiership Rugby club.

Coordinated by Hartlepool captain David Carson-White, the Falcons ambassador has hailed the support that his club has offered this season.

He said: “I’m sure everyone at the club has enjoyed our bus trips to the Falcons. We’ve seen some exciting matches and watched some fantastic international rugby payers, and our mini and junior players made up the guard of honour back in October against Gloucester.

“By supporting the Falcons our members and fans secured the club the chance to play Saturday’s game at Kingston Park, which I am sure will be a fantastic experience and a perfect way to close the curtain on an exciting season for our club.”
