With one month to go until English rugby’s top club competition descends on Newcastle city centre, the partnership between the Falcons and the two stations will see Heart FM and Capital running four weeks of on-air promotion for the March 24 fixture.

Regular Kingston Park Stadium announcer and Heart North East breakfast host Justin Lockwood was joined by on-air partner Kelly Scott at St James’ Park to launch the partnership, which will include the Falcons’ biggest ever advertising campaign across the two stations.

Also included in the content which will reach Heart North East’s 300,000 weekly listeners will be a competition to win the Ultimate Big One VIP experience, and further features to be announced over the coming weeks.

The partnership will also put the station and its breakfast broadcasters the heart of the event, with Justin and Kelly leading the hosting of the Fan Plaza in the shadow of the stadium on the match day.

They will be joined on the day by the Heart Angels as the day gears up towards the 3pm kick-off between Northumbria and Newcastle University and the 5:30pm kick off between the Falcons and the Saints.

Commenting on the club’s first official media partnership, head of marketing Melanie Magee said: “It really is great news that Global Radio is partnering with The Big One. They will add so much in the build up to March 24, and via Justin and Kelly will help create a fantastic atmosphere on match-day.

“There will be lots happening via Heart over the next four weeks and all Falcons fans should tune in for a chance to win some really special Big One prizes.”

Tickets for the Big One are now on sale, with adult prices starting from just £10 per ticket and under-16s from £5. To book yours [**click here**][1], call 0871 226 6060 or visit the Kingston Park Stadium box office.
