HODGSON RARING TO GO

Thursday 28 March 2013 Written by: Adam

The Newcastle Falcons academy product starts at fly-half alongside fellow half-back Warren Fury as Dean Richards’ men look to extend their emphatic unbeaten run.

And Hodgson, 20, who has started eight games this campaign, is looking forward to the visit of the Channel Islanders.

“It is great for me to get out onto the pitch and get some game time under my belt, but from a team point of view we are looking to develop our game,” Hodgson told Falcons TV.

“It is also good to try new partnerships as we build towards the play-offs,” added Hodgson.

Newcastle are on a blistering winning streak which now stretches to 25 games in all competitions, but despite the Falcons’ dominance at the summit of the Championship table, Hodgson insists there is no room for complacency.

He said: “We have had some phenomenal results, but there is only one result that we were really happy with, and that was in the British and Irish Cup against Newport when we won 93-0.

> “We felt that in that game we delivered from start to finish – every
> week there are things to work on.

“We know what we are about and we know what we have to work on to become the complete team.”
