HUDSON READY FOR CUP SHOWDOWN

Hudson, who will skipper the Falcons in the absence of club captain Will Welch, is well aware of the threat posed by the Dubliners.

“Everyone involved in the Leinster team benefits from excellent coaching and there is a culture of winning, so I expect their core skills to be at a very high quality,” said Hudson, who joins Gloucester at the end of this season on a three-year-deal.

He added: “They have got some dangerous guys – their fly-half looks pretty handy and their back three look very good on the counter-attack.

> “On top of that there are a number of challenges upfront as well, but
> we have had a good look at them and we have got a plan put together.”

Tickets for the game are £10 adults with under-16s going for free, and after an electric atmosphere inside Kingston Park for the play-off semi-final second leg with Leeds Carnegie last weekend, the towering lock is hoping for much of the same.

He said: “The ground really comes alive when there is more than 6,000 fans, and the atmosphere is fantastic.

“Once we get the numbers through the doors it just helps the team.”
