Newcastle lock Marco Fuser was a replacement for the Italians, winning his 35th cap as he came on for the last half-hour.
Falcons hooker Jamie Blamire and prop Trevor Davison were on the bench for England as they defeated Australia 32-15 at Twickenham.
Blamire came on for the second half and scored with the last play of the game, with Davison appearing for the final 11 minutes.
Next weekend’s international programme sees England hosting South Africa at Twickenham in a 3.15pm kick-off, which will be shown live in the UK on Prime Video.
