International rugby returns to Kingston Park Stadium on Friday evening as the ground plays host to the U20s RBS 6 Nations.

Shadowing the schedule of the senior competition, England’s U20 side will face Ireland U20’s in a 18:05 kick off, with two of the Falcons’ senior academy members set to feature and provide the crowd with added interest.

After captaining the side in a 42-7 win against their Italian counterparts, Newcastle Falcons’ Callum Chick will be hoping to retain his position at number 8, where he has started both games of the championship to date and play in England white on his home ground.

In the Irish camp, academy fly half Brett Connon will also be keen to enjoy a home run out, having worn the number 22 shirt in both of his country’s games to date.

Friday night’s fixture will be the first U20 international to be staged at the ground in two years and fans will be hoping for a similar night of entertainment.

Wales were the opposition that evening for an England team that who delivered a 10 try demolition, including a length of field wonder score from Falcons’ Zach Kibirige, on their way to a second place finish in that year’s championship.

England currently sit third in the 2016 table on two points, with both France and Wales ahead on four, while Ireland will hope to take a first win of the campaign, having lost out to Wales and France in the first two rounds.

Tickets for Friday night’s game remain on sale, with tickets starting at £10 for adults and £5 for U16s in all open areas.
