J.P. MORGAN PREMIERSHIP RUGBY 7S LIVE ON TV
The tournament is now in its fourth year and is going from strength to strength with more than 20 Test players taking part over the last four years. Marland Yarde started the 2012-13 season starring in the London Irish team which became 2012 J.P. Morgan Premiership Rugby 7s Champions and ended it in the England Senior Squad.
World Cup winning coach Sir Clive Woodward said: “The J.P. Morgan Premiership Rugby 7s tournament is in its fourth year and once 7s got the Olympic seal of approval I think 7s moved to a whole new level and I think the whole of rugby is pleased that 7s is really being taken seriously.
“The teams put their best players forward and help make the competition special. It is in its beginning still but it is here to stay and I think rugby will look back in 10 or 15 years time and say ‘wow, this was a big turning point in terms of the game’.
“It’s the first silverware available of the season and it’s a great family night out for everyone but from a rugby point of view it is great for fitness and entertainment too.”
