James Grindal confirmed for Legends match
Scrum Half James Grindal is set to make is 157th appearance in a Falcons shirt as he has added his name to the line up for this October’s Legends game.
Being held to celebrate the arrival of World Cup rugby into Newcastle, the game will see a team of Falcons Legends take on a Southern Hemisphere XV live at Kingston Park on Friday 2nd October.
With a number of former players already confirmed, former England Saxon Grindal is the latest to sign up for the game.
Grindal spent seven years at Newcastle Falcons, including during the Powergen Cup winning campaign of 2004, before returning to Leicester Tigers, where he had begun his career, in 2009.
He then spent two seasons at Bristol, the second as club captain, before being forced to retire from the game last year.
Tickets for the Legends game are available to purchase now online, in person from the Kingston Park Stadium Box Office or by calling the club’s 24 hour Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060.
