Newcastle Rugby Foundation are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their team as a social inclusion officer.

The Foundation are not a big team but they make a big difference delivering a wide range of projects across the region all built upon using rugby as a vehicle to make a positive difference that changes lives for good.

As a social inclusion officer, you’ll be delivering high-quality classroom and physical activity sessions, engaging with community partners, and ensuring young people receive the support they need to succeed. You’ll be working with some of the most marginalised young people, helping them break down barriers and build a brighter future.

You’ll have to be dedicated and well-organised, able to work in a team where positive energy, connection, support and challenge are key cultural pillars.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging enrichment and employability sessions as part of the HITZ & Futures programmes.
  • Support young people with their academic studies, work experience, and life challenges.
  • Build strong relationships with community partners to promote and recruit participants.
  • Encourage young people’s personal development, helping them develop resilience, confidence, and essential life skills.
  • Support and develop ‘The Cast’ inclusive volunteering programme.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating the impact of our programmes.
