Johnson and Dormer start for England U20s on Friday
The opening game of the Under-20s Six Nations is an 8pm kick-off at Edinburgh’s DAM Health Stadium in the shadow of Murrayfield, and is being shown live on the BBC iPlayer.
Cumbrian Johnson (left of picture) starts at fly-half for England, having scored a try in their recent warm-up victory at Oxford University, with Newcastle native Dormer packing down at loose-head prop.
Newcastle’s Matt Deehan, meanwhile, starts on the blind-side flank for Scotland.
Fellow Falcons Iwan Stephens, Ollie Fletcher and Guy Pepper are also in England Under-20s Elite Player Squad for this season, but miss the game through injury.
England Under-20s head coach Alan Dickens said: “Scotland will be a tough side to face but the boys have put in quality preparation, and we’re looking forward to getting out on the pitch in Edinburgh.
“For many of the players this game will be their first Six Nations experience, and that will be a very special moment. I want them to remember that on Friday night and savour the occasion. ”
