Rugby fans from across the region are being invited to play a key role in delivering an outstanding spectator experience at all Newcastle Falcons and Thunder home games and the 2019 European Rugby finals

Newcastle Falcons and the organisers Newcastle 2019 are on the look-out for volunteers who can bring knowledge, passion for service and most importantly fun to every home match, even on a cold wet Friday night, to help our spectators have a stand-out experience whenever they visit Kingston Park.

Known as The Cast, this army of 300 enthusiastic ambassadors will carry out a wide range of essential tasks, and with an array of positions to fill applications will be split into groups of generalist and specialist volunteers.

Generalist volunteers will not need any special skills or qualifications, however, an interest in rugby union would be an advantage. People in this group will receive full training and will work mainly within the spectator services area including transport hubs, fan zone and wayfinding.

Specialist volunteers will have some existing skills or qualifications that are needed for more specific roles, such as assisting with the media or sport. These volunteers will receive the generalist volunteer training along with additional role-specific training.

If you love talking and helping people and want to ensure visitors to top flight rugby matches enjoy an outstanding experience, The Cast is ready to receive you.
