Karting challenge for the Speed of Sevens
Four members of the Newcastle Falcons squad called on their pace last week as they descended on Teesside Autodrome to make a challenge with a difference.
Tom Penny, Adam Redman, Marcus Watson and Micky Young took on Matthew Graham, the 2011 CIK-FIA Under 18 World Champion and a member of the club’s ticket office staff, pitching the Speed of Sevens against the speed of racing.
Stepping into one of the circuit’s professionally prepared machines, the four players hurtled around the 1.3km track trying to beat each other’s best and set lap times they hoped would be good enough to triumph over the racing driver.
