Last few places for Barnard Castle residential camp
The five-day camp runs from August 19-23, with the price of £305 including three meals per day plus supper, accommodation, coaching and an item of Newcastle Falcons clothing.
Open to boys aged 12-16 years old (moving into U13s-U17s in the 2019/20 season), the camp is in its 12th year and is aimed at aspiring rugby players.
Each day includes over five hours of coaching, and new for this year will be the introduction of a variety of workshops throughout the week: positional skills, nutrition, strength and conditioning and other areas of being a professional rugby player.
Coaching will be delivered by the Newcastle Falcons’ community department and academy coaching staff, as well as guest coaching from Newcastle Falcons first team players.
Other members of the backroom team will be on hand to give youngsters hints and tips on the reality of professional sporting life, and how to make it to the top in the rugby world.
The camp focuses on the CARDS principles: Creativity, awareness, resilience, decision-making and self-organisation.
