Laycock expects step up against Doncaster

The 3pm Kingston Park Stadium kick-off comes off the back of last weekend’s 50-12 triumph over Nottingham, Laycock saying:

“There were loads of positives in the Nottingham game,” said Laycock, whose side won by eight tries to two.

“We were a little bit rusty in the first 15 to 20 minutes but once we settled down a bit we showed a little more composure. We scored some fantastic team tries and the lessons we learned from the game will make us a much better team.”

Aware that this weekend’s opponents will pose a genuine threat, he added: “Doncaster did fantastically last year by getting to the Championship final and giving a great account of themselves during those play-offs.

“The bulk of their squad are still there this season, so I would expect them to be similarly confrontational in the set-piece and the contact area. It will be a step up for our lads.

“We know how Doncaster play from having had a few boys down there over the past few seasons. Likewise they know all about our own game, and it will be a little bit more like a Premiership match in that sense because we are used to teams doing their analysis on one another.”

Saturday’s game is included as part of the 2016-17 season ticket membership package. Non-season ticket members can gain entry for £20 premium seating, £10 standard seating and standing or £5 for under-16s. To book call 0871 226 6060 or [**click here**.][1]
