In addition to Asper’s Newcastle, who are sponsoring the Falcons Legends team and providing both pre and post-match events, a number of other local businesses will also be supporting the event.

Sanderson Young, Ryder Architecture, Your Homes Newcastle, Vantec Europe and Port of Tyne will all act as sponsors for the game next Friday, which will see the Falcons Legends take on a Southern Hemisphere XV.

The Falcons Legends game kicks off at 7.45pm next Friday, 2nd October at Kingston Park Stadium to celebrate the arrival of Rugby World Cup 2015 to the North East.

With the likes of Rob Andrew, Matt Burke, Tom May and Jamie Noon already confirmed to play, the match will see some of the biggest names in Falcons history take on legendary rugby players from across the Southern Hemisphere.

A key part of the North East’s Rugby World Cup 2015 celebrations, the Legends match will raise valuable funds for the Falcons Community Foundation, the charitable arm of the club which exists to motivate, educate and inspire young people throughout the North East and Cumbria through the power of sport.

Proceeds from the game will help the Community Foundation to run legacy programmes encouraging people throughout the region to engage with rugby and the core values of the game.

Melanie Magee, head of the Falcons Community Foundation said: “The Legends game is an opportunity for us to not only celebrate the Rugby World Cup activity in Newcastle and welcome back all of the players who have contributed to the Falcons, but also to ensure a lasting legacy for the local community.

“All proceeds from the Legends game will go to the Falcons Community Foundation to help us deliver legacy projects across the North East and Cumbria harnessing the new enthusiasm around our game.

“Without the support of these our fantastic sponsors, it would not be possible to stage this game and we thank them not only for their support, but their generosity and commitment to helping communities over recent seasons.”

Tickets for the Falcons Legends game are on sale now starting from £10 for adults with all junior tickets available for £5. Tickets can be purchased [online][1], in person from the Kingston Park Stadium Box Office or by calling the Falcons’ 24 hour Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060.
