Friday 12 April 2019 Written by: Adam

There is so much more to match days at Newcastle Falcons than just 80 minutes of enthralling Gallagher Premiership Rugby, with this Friday’s match against Leicester Tigers providing the perfect opportunity for fans to enjoy all the club has to offer.

From delicious food, well-stocked bars, pre-match talk-ins and a variety of post-match entertainment options available, check out what you can expect to enjoy this weekend.

**Feel like a Champion:**
With the Newcastle 2019 European rugby finals just four weeks away, fans can get up close to the Heineken Champions Cup and European Rugby Challenge Cup as both trophies take up station in the Wooden Spoon corner on the West Stand concourse.

The impressive looking pair have been undertaking a tour of the region to promote the finals, with Friday offering the chance for Falcons and Tigers fans in attendance the chance for photographs with the prizes up for grabs on May 10th & 11th.

Just please remember, don’t’ touch!

**Time for tea:**
With kick off at 19:45, the stadium will have a wide array of top quality culinary delights available for supporters to enjoy as soon as doors open at 18:15.
Food is available from the concourse kiosks in the West and South Stands, whilst Angel Street Food will have their flagship outlets open around the ground, including:

– **Angelfish:** *South East corner*: Probably the best fish and chips served from a van; fresh North-Sea cod fried in Wylam beer batter and served with hand-cut chips.

– **Posh Box:** *South West corner* – Superb coffee, crepes, cakes and cookies served from a converted horse box.

– **72 Angels & Burgers:** *South West corner* – Better than the average burger, proud of using only Northumbrian meats and using a char-grill, serve delicious burgers and sausages. Just grab plenty of napkins!

– **Moroni Pizza Shack:** *North East terrace* – Angel’s most popular street food option, providing restaurant quality pizzas baked in a wood-fired, clay pizza oven. Check the boards by the shack for the day’s toppings of choice!

– **Angel Street Food:** *North East Terrace* – A real mix of proper street food with BBQ brisket, Chicken and Chorizo paella, and Frankfurter hotdogs providing a wide choice for pallets looking for something a little bit different.

**Quench your thirst:**
With a big Friday night crowd set to pack Kingston Park Stadium, fans will be able to enjoy a wide range of drinks around the complex all evening.

For those starting their weekend with a responsible drink, happy hour prices will be in place on the concourse bars, the Tap & Tackle and the 1877 bar from 18:15 to 19:15, whilst during the build-up to kick off and throughout the game, additional bars, including mobile units and the North Stand container bar, will be open to meet your needs.

For designated drivers or those who just fancy something different whilst watching the game, all bars offer a wide range of soft drinks while both East Stand and concourses have designated hot drinks stations. Particularly handy if Friday proves to be a fresh April evening!

**Pre-match talk in:**
As the countdown to kick off intensifies, stadium announcer Justin Lockwood will be joined at 19:15 by members of the Falcons squad in the 1877 Bar.

Located in the East Stand off the Tap & Tackle, the players will be able to give gathered supporters the inside track direct on preparations for the game from the team’s inner sanctum. Arrive early to secure your space.

**Post Match:**
Miss the final whistle dash and extend the evening by enjoying your club and what it has to offer.

In the West Stand concourse, live music will be on post-match as Kingston Park Stadium welcomes Revival to the stage.

Lively, young and extremely talented, Revival are a four piece band who formed three years ago and have been garnering an impressive reputation from gigs across the region.

Describing themselves as an Indie band, their set list encompasses classic rock and commercial hits which they perform with great harmonies and a big sound.
They are set to bring fans songs from artists including The Killers, Kings of Leon, T Rex, Stereophonics, Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Beatles, and many more, check out their show-reel here.

For those who want to close out their night by discussing the action on the field, the Tap and Tackle and 1877 Bar will be open until late, with Curry Corner offering servings of Beef Madras and a vegetarian alternative available free of charge.

**Take to the Field:**
With no further on-field action following the conclusion of Friday’s match, supporters who wish to try out their skills are welcome to access the pitch after the game and after BT Sport’s live broadcast has concluded.

Please follow all instructions from the club’s stewards if you intend to play on the pitch and please be mindful of other supporters around you.
