Man of the Match Kibirige hails Enisei effort
Zach Kibirige turned in a Man of the Match performance against Enisei STM on Sunday, with the winger relishing on his first start since September following an enforced injury layoff.
The 20 year old grabbed two of his sides nine tries on the day with Kibirige hailing the challenge presented by the Russian visitors.
Speaking to Falcons TV post match, Kibirige said: “It was tough for us as we knew they would come and be physical. We had to win that battle for 80 mins and stay on top of our game as we knew if we switched off, they could be very dangerous.”
With six tries scored by two backs, the Falcons displayed a running game with an effective cutting edge, which Kibirige says demonstrates what the team have been trying to achieve in recent games.
“We go in every week knowing we have that ability and know if we do get it right it’s going to pay off, which it felt for the most part, it did this week. Going back to the league, the mentality doesn’t change massively, we keep doing the same things, we are going in the right direction so if we keep doing that, we’ll be going the right way.”
