Matavesi and Mulipola set for World Cup starts

Fellow Falcon Logovi’i Mulipola packs down at loose-head prop for Samoa on Tuesday when they tackle Russia in Kumagaya, a match which gets underway at 11.15am UK time.

Newcastle pair Sonatane Takulua and Cooper Vuna started for Tonga in Sunday’s defeat to England in Sapporo.

Takulua led the pre-match sipi tau and started the game at scrum-half, with Vuna playing the full 80 minutes of the 35-3 loss at inside centre.

Tonga are next in action on Saturday when they meet Argentina in Osaka, kicking off at 5.45am UK time.

England have Mark Wilson on the bench when they meet the USA in Kobe on Thursday in an 11.45am UK-time kick-off, the Eagles having Newcastle lock Greg Peterson among their replacements.
