With a heavily rotated and youthful squad, Newcastle Falcons battled hard and fought to the very end losing out eventually to northern rivals Sale Sharks, 40-22.

The hosts took the full five points but the Falcons would leave the fixture with a bonus point of their own with four tries from Louis Brown, Callum Chick, Bryan Byrne and Iwan Stephens. Josh Thomas also added one conversion, with the full match highlights available to watch below:

The Falcons are next in action on Sunday, November 26 when the high-flying Exeter Chiefs visit the Toon.
