One of Newcastle Falcons’ newest signings, Max Pepper, was a significant feature for GB 7s in their latest outing at the Makarska 7s tournament in Croatia.

The 23-year-old, who was recently crowned BUCS Super Rugby Men’s Player of the Season, helped the side secure a commendable seventh place.

Across the weekend, Pepper and the GB 7s outfit enjoyed victories over Spain, Lithuania, and a double triumph against Belgium.

In the Men’s tournament, France emerged victorious, edging out Ireland 12-7 in a tightly contested final on Sunday. Meanwhile, in the Women’s tournament, Poland claimed the trophy with a 12-10 victory over France.

The GB 7s Women’s side also finished the tournament in seventh place.
