Max Pepper set for Bristol switch
Newcastle Falcons can confirm that Max Pepper will leave the club at the end of the season to join Bristol Bears.
The 23-year-old has scored four tries in his 13 appearances for the Falcons, and leaves in the summer with the thanks and best wishes of the club.
Director of rugby Steve Diamond said: “We’re in talks with a lot of our lads at the moment, and most of them have agreed to stay.
“We’re disappointed that Max has chosen to go to Bristol because we’ve given him a lot of opportunities here, but he must think he’s better off going elsewhere. We made him an offer and he’s gone to another club, but the rest of the talks I’ve had with other players have all been very positive.
“It’s really exciting for us moving forward because the bulk of the lads are in the process of agreeing to stay. We’re working on getting those finalised, and we’ll have a highly competitive squad for next season.”
