Monday sees 10-year high for season ticket membership sales
Newcastle Falcons reported their biggest day of season ticket sales in over ten years on Monday, as 400 were sold on the final day of early bird pricing.
More than 70% of 2015/16 season ticket members have now committed for the upcoming 2016/17 campaign, a number in line with levels for the current season which benefited from additional interest with the build up to the Rugby World Cup.
With a full summer of build up to come, including new faces joining the Falcons squad and confirmation of the club’s pre season programme, confidence is high that 2015/16’s total number of season members will be surpassed.
Managing director Mick Hogan said: “Since full time on Sunday we have sold over 500 season ticket memberships for 2016/17, with 400 of those coming on Monday.
“It is fantastic that our sales figures remain in line with those 12 months ago and shows the commitment our supporters continue to show to the club and the team. They have provided loud vocal backing all season which has been crucial, and I’d like to thank everyone who has taken up their season ticket membership.”
Season ticket memberships remain on sale, with prices now starting from £208 for adult standing and £336 for adult seating and gaining supporters entry to all regular season league fixtures and pool stage cup competitions.
Full paying adults and concessions can also claim up to two free under 11s season tickets (rising to under 15 if players at a grassroots club) allowing an adult and two children to enjoy matches at Kingston Park from just £4.33 each per game for terracing and just £7 for seats.
Season ticket members are also entered into the ballot to access England international tickets, a draw which over the last two years has delivered more than 1,000 seats at Rugby HQ and can once again take advantage of the ever-popular ticket exchange scheme, supporting a Falcons squad built around a talented core of home-grown players.
