Aspiring rugby players are being invited to sample a brand new course for the new school year as the Falcons Community Foundation and Tyne Metropolitan College launch a brand new programme.

Starting in the new 2017/18 school year, the two organisations have launched a brand new and unique College Rugby Union programme for students aged 16+ based at Kingston Park Stadium.

Combining practical rugby sessions and fixtures against other North East Colleges with a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Sport Studies, it is a great opportunity for club players to further their development.

Students will also have the opportunity to achieve coaching and refereeing qualifications alongside volunteering with the Falcons Community Foundation amongst other fantastic benefits!

To showcase everything the new programme will have to offer, prospective students and their families are invited to an open evening on Thursday 9th March at Kingston Park Stadium, Brunton Road, NE13 8AF from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

The first half of the evening will be a practical session to see potential players in action, followed by a presentation by coaching and curriculum staff regarding the programme.

If you are student, parent or club coach who would like to register your interest in the open evening/Programme please email dan.simpson@newcastle-falcons.co.uk
