Newcastle Falcons are delighted to announce an exclusive new three-year kit partnership with Devon-based sportswear brand, VX3.

Renowned for their cutting-edge design and high-performance apparel, the collaboration sees VX3 become the club’s official kit partner, marking the beginning of a new era for the Falcons.

Founded in 2020 by the Lovell family, a name synonymous with rugby and sportswear excellence, VX3 has quickly made a name for itself in the sportswear industry.

Their deep-rooted connection to rugby and extensive background in the sportswear industry have been pivotal in shaping the brand.

The Lovell family are well-known for founding Lovell Rugby, one of the world’s largest online rugby stores, which has been a staple in the rugby community for over two decades.

Despite its relatively recent inception, VX3 has established partnerships with numerous teams and organisations, including Dragons RFC, Newport County and Salford Red Devils, showcasing their commitment to excellence across various sports.

The name VX3 stands for “Veni Vidi Vici,” Latin for “I came, I saw, I conquered,” which embodies the brand’s ethos of empowering athletes to achieve their best.

VX3’s unwavering commitment to quality and performance aligns seamlessly with the Falcons’ relentless pursuit of excellence on the field.

This collaboration promises to inspire both players and fans, fostering a deep sense of pride and unity as we embark on this exciting journey together.

Speaking on the new partnership, Alison Carthy, head of retail and ticketing at Newcastle Falcons, said: “Following five successful years with Macron we conducted an extensive kit tender process, receiving no fewer than eight fantastic offers.

“VX3 stood out for several reasons, and I am delighted to announce them as our chosen kit partner for the next three seasons.

“The team at VX3 met our expectations by demonstrating a commitment to benefiting the club as a whole, including support for both our Academy teams and the Newcastle Rugby Foundation.

“VX3’s strong history in rugby union complements our pride in our roots, and their technical excellence will serve both our teams and our retail operation at the highest level.

“I am also excited to unveil our new kits in the coming months, as I believe they are among our best yet.”

Ben Lovell, commercial director of VX3, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Newcastle Falcons on a long-term contract, marking a significant milestone for VX3.

“Returning to the Gallagher Premiership, alongside such a historic club is truly fantastic for the brand.

“Newcastle Falcons’ rich history and exciting future align perfectly with VX3’s values and goals.”

The new partnership also marks the end of our collaboration with Italian sportswear brand Macron, who have supported the Falcons for the last five years since 2019.

Ross Cook, senior sports marketing manager of Macron, said: “It is personally with a heavy heart that Macron’s partnership with Newcastle Falcons comes to its natural end.

“We have really enjoyed working with the club and wish the club the very best for future ventures, and we hope our paths cross again.”
