Newcastle Falcons is delighted to launch its 2024 calendar, which will be available from the club shop, in conjunction with the Newcastle Dog and Cat shelter.

Spanning 12 months from 1^st January 2024 and showcasing just a few of the gorgeous residents that can be found at the shelter, the calendars are priced at £10 and available to pre-order now. A percentage of every calendar sold will go directly to the shelter to help cover their running costs.

Alison Carthy, Head of Retail at Newcastle Falcons said: “It’s great to see our partnership with Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter come to fruition. Supporting causes in our region is always high on the agenda and it’s amazing to be able to support the shelter as they continue their hard work to find new homes for so many lovely animals.

“To say our players enjoyed their photoshoot is an understatement and we already have one successful re-homing!”

This collaboration not only highlights the resilience and spirit of the animals we care for but also underscores the power of community support in our mission.

“The running costs of the shelter are approximately £1.2 million a year, and since we receive no government funding, we rely on strong collaborations and community contributions to cover these expenses.

“Together, we can continue to provide a second chance at a loving home for these animals. We rehome approximately 1,000 animals each year, and every calendar purchase makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the animals under our care.”
