
Newcastle Falcons U16s victorious against touring side
Newcastle Falcons’ Under-16s side emerged 17-0 victors against the Australian Raptors Rugby Academy, a touring side from down under.
The Raptors are a not-for-profit organisation based in Gerringong, New South Wales with an aim to develop coaches and players, both on and off the field.

The first outing of the season for the Falcons’ youngsters saw tries from scrum-half Joe Syson, back-five forward Toby Somersall and back rower Robbie Simpson-Stoves, with centre Ajay Edwards also adding one conversion.









Alongside plenty of attacking prowess the Falcons also showed some solid defensive capabilities, keeping the visitors from scoring.
