Newcastle Falcons v Northampton Saints
The Saints have one of the league’s leading squads and boast an array of starts including current internationals and a number of ex Falcons and will be looking to bounce back from a defeat to Wasps last Sunday.
Supporters can expect the likes of Welsh international George North, England hooker Dylan Hartley and former Falcons scrum half Lee Dickson to be facing up to Falcons. The home side can boast stars of their own including internationals Scott Lawson and Alesana Tuilagi and local talents such as Will Welch and Mark Wilson.
Last season, the match against the Saints was one of the Falcons best performances and saw the Falcons secure a well-earned losing bonus point. After going close against London Irish on Sunday to recording a first win of the season, Director of Rugby Dean Richards will be expecting another strong performance from his charges.
All the additions to the match-day experience are back for this weekend. The new big screen was a hit with supporters who were able to watch the key moments back. The new ‘mega-pie’ (40% bigger than last years at no extra cost!) is here. A number of outlets sold out of the behemoth last weekend….more have been ordered. Same goes for the new look programme which also sold out and the Academy players will be manning the bars once more to cut down on queuing time.
To allow supporters to enjoy a full day at the rugby, the stadium bars will be operating a happy hour from doors opening at 12:30 – 13:30 while post match, entertainment will be provided local musician Chris Dakers and his band, who are a regular feature at the stadium and will be taking song requests later in the week.
Tickets for the match start from £15 for adults and £7.50 for under 16s which are cheaper than the on the day prices
