Newcastle Falcons will face Ealing Trailfinders in a pre-season double header ahead of the new Gallagher Premiership campaign.
The two clubs will meet at West London’s Trailfinders Sports Club on Saturday November 7 (kick-off 3pm), followed by the return match at Newcastle’s Kingston Park Stadium on Friday November 13 (kick-off 7.45pm).
The double header sees the top two teams in last season’s Greene King IPA Championship doing battle, Falcons director of rugby Dean Richards saying: “Ealing are a good side.
“They will provide us with two much-needed tests ahead of the Gallagher Premiership season which starts on the weekend of November 20-22, and in the current climate it’s great that we have been able to arrange two fixtures of this standard.
“I’m sure both clubs will get a lot out of it, they’ll be really competitive games, and with our last outing being all the way back in March it’s vital that we have some live match action to hit the ground running when the Premiership season gets underway.”
Neither Newcastle nor Ealing are yet in a position to confirm whether supporters will be able to attend the fixtures, with further updates to be issued nearer the time.
