Newcastle Falcons in partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust have a limited number of spaces in this year’s Tyne Bridge Zip Slide.

This is a fantastic opportunity to raise some money for a fantastic cause and do something extremely exciting in the process! This is the latest in a string of events and fundraising opportunities the Falcons have partnered with the North East branch of the charity on, now raising over £10,000. Participants must be over 16 years of age.

When you register, the Teenage Cancer Trust will support you every step of the way with advice on training as well as fundraising. We have a wealth of experience and knowledge and are here to answer any questions you may have. By taking part for us, you will get:

Along with a team of other Teenage Cancer Trust zip sliders, you will be helping young people fight cancer, whilst taking on this exciting challenge.

There are two Teenage Cancer Trust units in Newcastle. The first is for 13-18-year-olds and is located at Great North Children’s Hospital (RVI) and the other is for ages 18-24 at the Freeman Hospital.

The unit at the RVI incorporates a three bed-bay room and seven single bed units with en-suite facilities, a parent's room, a recreational room, a quiet room, a kitchen.

Recently opened is the unit at the Freeman Hospital which provides a four bed-bay room and three single bed units with en-suite facilities, plus a bone marrow transplant bed and a recreational room, a kitchen, and relaxation area.

This means that young people from the region who have been diagnosed with cancer now have dedicated services available to them.
