Newcastle Falcons’ Kingston Park Stadium will once again play host to the region’s biggest business networking event this April when North East Expo returns, complete with key speaker Richard Woods of BBC’s The Apprentice fame.

Being held on Wednesday 27 April from 9am – 4pm, the theme across the day will be social media and marketing, with former The Apprentice speaker Woods speaking to delegates about growth, sales and retention in an attempt to offer guidance on taking business growth to the next level.

The serial entrepreneur set up his own business after leaving university and now has a large portfolio of companies including Digital marketing, videography, oil distribution and property and asset management companies.

Top regional social media guru Jason Squires, motivational speaker Andrew Pickersgill and local comedian turned public speaking coach Ray Lowry will also be delivering seminars.

Also speaking at the event will be Lisa Bean, managing director of IX7 and top life coach and business consultant will be speaking about her passion and vision for helping business to grow and succeed, and about helping MD’s and owners find their true calling in life.

There will be more than 200 companies and around 1,500 delegates in attendance at what is recognised as the North East’s biggest business-to-business event, with seminars, masterclasses, workshops and networking running throughout the day.

Marc Gordon from Fresh Start Events, who runs the twice-yearly tradeshow at Kingston Park Stadium, said: “We are really looking forward to this event, and it has certainly created a lot of interest.

“The event we hosted in November 2015 was probably our biggest one yet, but this one has generated interest through the social media and marketing theme which will run alongside the main Expo event.

“It is geared towards anyone who wants to do more marketing, raise their profile and gain more exposure through the media, and there will be lots of support and advice on hand from plenty of people who are experts in their field.”
