Newcastle Falcons latest open access academy session will welcome a guest coach this Thursday, when England Rugby pathways’ Russell Earnshaw takes the lead of the session.

Earnshaw, who works across England age grade setups and is delivering CARDS skills across those teams, will also be discussing principles of play and cards skills at Kingston Park Stadium.

Open to all coaches to come watch and interact with, the session begins from 18:30, with attendees asked to begin meeting in the Tap & Tackle from 18:00.

In a new development, the session will also be streamed live via the [**Newcastle Falcons Academy YouTube channel**][1], providing viewers with the opportunity to interact with Earnshaw and the session in a new way.

Thursday’s session is the first in a pair over the coming week, with a CPD also taking place on Thursday 19th October focusing on tackling technique and safety, along with GASP, the assessment criteria applied to evaluating players for the Newcastle Falcons pathway systems.

Places for the session on October 19 are also free but require pre-booking via the RFU [**here**][2].
