Peterson banned following red card at Saracens
The USA lock was sent off 17 minutes into Saturday’s 29-23 loss at Gallagher Premiership leaders Saracens.
His case was heard by an independent disciplinary panel chaired by Matthew Weaver KC, with Leon Lloyd and Alastair Campbell.
Peterson received a red card for dangerous tackling contrary to World Rugby Law 9.13, accepted foul play and received a three-match ban. This will be reduced to two weeks if he completes the World Rugby Coaching Intervention Programme.
Peterson will miss the following games:
March 5 – v London Irish
March 11 – v Exeter Chiefs
March 18 – v Ayrshire Bulls *(Removed on successful completion of World Rugby Coaching Intervention Programme)*
