Poster player Sinoti hails home support
Samoan flyer Sinoti Sinoti says a sell out crowd making the game against Exeter Chiefs a “big night oot” can give Newcastle Falcons a big lift as they aim to make it three wins from four Aviva Premiership Rugby games at Kingston Park Stadium.
The powerhouse winger has become a firm fan favourite since arriving in the North East in December 2013, with his combination of fleet footed guile and bruising, hard hitting running finding a place in the hearts of the Kingston Park faithful.
It is his blockbusting style that made him an obvious choice to be the poster player for a game that the club hope to attract a capacity 10,200 fans to, with Sinoti backing those fans in the stand to maintain the tradition of an electric atmosphere at Friday night games.
Sinoti said: “Our home crowd is one of the best and it is always a privilege to play in front of them. No matter how many are at a game, they always make themselves heard so to have a full stadium shouting for us will be something special.
“They have definitely played their part in the first games of the season with the support they have been giving us and I think that is a key part in the positive buzz that’s around the club at the minute.
“The Chiefs are a good side and we’re only a point apart at the moment so it’s going to be an important game for both teams, but a big crowd enjoying a big night out can have a big impact on the match.
