Premiership Preview – Northampton
Northampton Saints are the latest team to take the long journey north this weekend as they arrive at Kingston Park for round 13 of this season’s Aviva Premiership.
Currently sixth in the table on 31 points, Jim Mallinder’s side will travel looking to build on a 35-7 win over London Irish last weekend and reinvigorate their push for a top four finish.
The home side themselves will be determined to preserve an impressive run of form at home, that has seen them win six of the last seven in all competitions.
Only league leaders Saracens have taken a win from the North East since November 2015, with the Falcons prevailing over Bath Rugby, Brive Correze, Connacht Rugby, Enisei STM, Harlequins and Leicester Tigers in the other fixtures at Kingston Park.
If both sides are able to carry their recent from into the fixture, it promises to be a close encounter, with the teams having taken 14 league points each from their last five matches in the Premiership.
Officiating this weekend, Wayne Barnes will referee his 164th Aviva Premiership game with Luke Pearce and Andy Watson running touch as his assistant referees.
A 3pm kick off, tickets are selling fast with the West and South Stands already over 50% full and the message to supporters being to book in advance to guarantee you can watch the game from your preferred vantage point.
Prices start from £15 for adult standing and £25 for adult seating with tickets able to be booked by [clicking here][1], calling 0871 22666060 or by visiting the Kingston Park box office.
