Raise funds with art, balls, and passion
Wonderstuff is a business on a mission to help the people adopt wellness, nutrition, and physical activity by supporting businesses who deliver the products and services which make this possible.
This year Wonderstuff are bringing art and sport together to celebrate the Rugby League World Cup and raise funds for Newcastle Rugby Foundation.
Newcastle Rugby Foundation (reg. charity 1107851) is the official charitable arm of the Newcastle Falcons and Newcastle Thunder professional rugby teams. Their purpose is to make RUGBY+ the positive difference that changes lives for good.
Following on from a successful ART X SPORT 2021 live art event, Wonderstuff is again bringing art and sport together for a great cause.
A group of talented artists, with Steeden rugby balls as their canvas, have created a series of art pieces. Each artwork will reflect the spirit of the World Cup, celebrating inclusion and diversity.
The completed balls were exhibited at Kingston Park on October 22 during the RLWC match between Fiji and Italy, and from October 24-29 they will be at The Biscuit Factory, the UK’s largest independent commercial art, craft and design gallery.
During the week, the balls will be auctioned to raise funds for Newcastle Rugby Foundation.
Paul Alderson, founder of Wonderstuff said: “I want to make creativity and physical activity to the forefront of people’s minds. ART X SPORT is a great opportunity to do this, support a local charity and connect people.”
Melanie Magee, head of Newcastle Rugby Foundation, said: “We are really grateful for Wonderstuff choosing Newcastle Rugby Foundation as a local charity to support with their ART X SPORT project. The money raised will help us continue to make rugby+ the positive difference that changes lives for good.”
