Newcastle Falcons’ Ben Redshaw and Oli Spencer were part of the England squad that were crowned U20s World Champions on Friday.

England claimed a narrow 21-13 victory over France at the Cape Town Stadium in South Africa to take home the trophy.

Although both Redshaw and Spencer weren’t part of the match-day 23, the pair have been fundamental to England’s success over the campaign.

The squad went unbeaten through their pool campaign, defeating host nation South Africa (17-12), Argentina (41-20) and Fiji (48-11) before edging out Ireland 31-20 in the semi-final.
