A total of 90 young players had a great time at Mowden Hall School for the annual Residential Camp, organised by the Newcastle Rugby Foundation.

The camp lasted for five fun-filled days and included high-intensity rugby training.

Participants received coaching from Newcastle Rugby Foundation coaches, focusing on improving all aspects of their rugby performance.

Each day participants went through various training stations, each focusing on different aspects of the game, including tackling, scrummaging, passing and kicking.

Thursday afternoon brought the arrival of Newcastle Falcon’s first team, who led sessions focusing on position-specific skills.

The young athletes were divided into groups to receive personalised attention and tailored coaching. After the session with the Falcons players, the youngsters enjoyed a BBQ and some well-deserved fun on the slip-and-slide.

The camp concluded on Friday at lunchtime, and all participants left with improved rugby skills and lasting memories.

The residential camp was a resounding success, and the players had a great experience.
